82 year old guy ejected from the Labour party conference

Post by Artist »

Saw this and was disgusted!

An 82 year old man who had fled Germany to escape from Hitler was thrown out of the Labour Party Conference Wednesday for shouting out "It's all lies and you know it" to Jack Straw during the Smarmy Bastards Speech about why the British Armed Forces are in Iraq.

Image

Just how much lower can these tossers sink?

Just whats happened to Free Speech? To our once proud countries way of life? To our once famous Tollerance? All gone so it seems with B'Liar and his bunch of heavy handed for want of a better word SA and SS Storm Troopers!

Now it seems that regardless of what Political Party you support you must not Heckle or in anyway, shape or form annoy the "Wonderful" leaders of our "Democratic" Country.

It makes me Heartily Sick to see what passes for the Norm in our Society nowadays.

Inuendo, Heresay, Spin, Sleaze, Back stabbing, Muck raking and outright lies seem to be what our present Government uses in it's quest to make us a society of yes men and women.

Chop B'Liars hands off and the gutless little bugger would not be able to speak. One of the most insincere people I have ever seen. I'm Bloody annoyed at what happened to that poor owd sod yesterday at the Labour party conference.

As it is Straw comes across as a bog standard smug, self preening Yesman of the highest order (I would love to smack him in the Fizzog I really would). Bring back Claire Short, Tony Benn, Tam Dyall and the beast of Bolsover Dennis Skinner. I may not agree with their views and Politics but at least they were open and above all honest in their dealings with the General Public.

I am reading the Tony Benn Dairies at this time and the one thing that sticks out about the man is his honesty. Shame he was so Left Wing really.

I agree, i think it was absoloutely disgusting the way this man was treated. Fair enough Blair appologised for the actions taken towards this 82 year old man,but once again he refused to take full responsibility and blamed it on the stewards lack of training. One day that halo will strangle him.

You always get the government you deserve. Have you ever come across anyone who actually admitted that they voted Labour in the last General Election??????????????????????????????????????

Wully, we didnt get to vote out here, due to a beurocratic balls up. All the papers for registration of votes didnt arrive in Germany until 4 days before the election. By this time it was too late to return your intention for overseas voting. Therefore the standing government automatically recieved our vote. So just think how many people there are here based in BFG........thats a lot of votes.

What tickled me about this was when he re-entered the Conference Centre he was arrested as suspected terrorist for two hours. Talk about power going to some peoples heads

Hi Flo, I think the same thing happened to the troops in Iraq or at least something similar. I seem to remember reading in the press that they couldn't vote and of course I cannot imagine there were very many labour supporters amongst them!!

Yep - its bad an 82 year old man is ejected, but such is life. He is bound to be pissed off seem as though dear old Tony has probably fucked up his pension aswell and is looking to a cold winter having to burn the ribbons on his war medals for little warmth.

What shocked me to the bone was the fact he was arrested using terrorist laws just passed!! Lets just look at that one again:-

Nice to see the goverment is passing laws for our protection and not abusing them to keep disidents from rocking the boat. I`ll think twice next time I criticise the Iraq occupation, you never know, someone from the SS will use the terrorist law to throw me in jail.

Hmmmmmm at least ill be able to vote next general election, one thing i dont understand is why the hell do people keep on voting LABOUR IN!!!!! A direct democratic party is what this country needs

I find it highly disgusting but no less unexpected.

How long before we aren't even allowed to even question the government without even being arrested.

I know Orwells '1984' might seem a little far fetched but the way things are going, what with Bio-metric ID cards and pay per mile 'pollution control', do you really think so?

We are fast becoming an open aired, off shore prison.

Best thing about this thread is that after far too long an absence from place of duty,

Wow its great to see my civil rights taken away in order to introduce anti-terror laws so that the Labour party can kick people out of there conferences that they dont like... bloody hell i was studying the common market referendum (Brits decided to stay in or out of the EU) in my AS politics class and the amount of heckling and shouting in those conferences is undescribable, at one time the National Front stormed the Conservative stage!
