Over the past 3 weeks(BBC2 2100 Wed) there has been an excellent Documentary" The Power of Nightmares", which has put a new (to some) slant on the present threats of Terrorism in our world....Those who watched this interesting programme will not be surprised that our modern governments have systematically fed us with Disinformation about the so call impending catastrophe's that the likes of Al Qeada and Bin Laden, who were according to Adam Curtis, the Producer of the Doc, were not even remotly connected prior to GWII. The programme was to say the least enlightening and should it be rebroadcast, as I feel it will, those interested should watch it in full..
So George Dub'ya has another 4 more years to start WWIII... Just watch this space.... in particular Iran and N.Korea... But top of the list has to be Palestine and the Israeli problem, especially as Arafat appears to be on his last legs! There is no one to take his place, only a vacuum that will be fought for by the Hawks and the Moderates of Palestine. Where will Mr Bush stand as the Israelis see the opportunity to deal with the Palestine Problem once and for all.....Well if its not too obvious to those out side the Great US of A... It'll be with the Jews... Why....? Well just have a look at the number of ***Bergs' ***Steins' Etc. in the new York telephone directory... that should answer the question

Re: FEAR
I think an element of answer lies in what happened with the Palestinian prime minister (Abu Mazen), who eventually quit his post.Mike wrote: But top of the list has to be Palestine and the Israeli problem, especially as Arafat appears to be on his last legs! The US administration did not get behind the man to help him push a diplomatic agenda.
The blame doesn't entirely rest on the US for this, Arafat did his usual best to wrestle influence, but he and Sharon both could have been made to 'sit and listen', had the US really pushed for it instead of paying little more than lip service to Mazen.
Incidentally, I saw a post election figure (so take it with a grain of salt, from Ha'aretz) which showed 78% of the Jewish American vote going to Kerry. I do think that when we talk of Jewish influence in American politics, we're in fact looking at a handful of think tanks/lobbies, one of which was created by a former Israeli military intelligence colonel (can't remember the name of the group, maybe MERCIC, or some such thing)...
