To just do a tour in NI during the 70's your entire life changed. I went there on a fair few occasions.

You mentioned the cess pit that was NI in the 70's. There was a rumour (since disproved I must point out) that Wilson gave 22 a list of people who he would not worry about if they became 'ineffectual'.but after three or four occasions the Civil Service fainted and then panicked and stopped it. It is alleged.


What got right up my nose is that a number of them got a damn good pay out after being 'tortured' when O had to undergo exactly the same interrogation at least once a year to keep my SF rate of pay.
