Having just spent a week in Anglesey (and visited Mike in his nocturnal lair, and his arms can reach the keyboard on his pooter)I can thoroughly recommend visiting the place.Stunning scenery lots of secluded sandy coves, nice pubs, about 40 mins drive from Snowdonia for the more energitic, and a barking mad host to boot.
If you are still in two minds about going GO!,by the way I always thought the well turned ankle of a Dorset Down sheep was enough to set any mans heart racing, well those Welsh Sheep!,sex on a stick is all I can say about that.

Don't you shout at me, I put my chit in ages ago.

I'm still not clear on the customs clearance and DFs allowances but I suppose it'll all work out O.K.

Do I need my English to Taff phrase book or can someone just tell me what "P**s off you Welsh Bastard" is in Welsh, that being the only phrase I'm likely to need.

Also are there any local ettiquete points to bear in mind, you know the sort of thing, always eat with your right hand because you hold the sheep with your left, never mention the holiday home you bought in the valley, never asking them why if Wales is so great why are so many Taffs living in England etc. :agrue:

Just thought I'd better ask rather than offend anyone.
Archie.

Archie...... No probs with bringing in Cigs, my advice is to bring as many as possible, as they can be used for the old bartering. A couple of necklaces of plastic beads will come in handy, for the odd Pint and Bag-off, but only try that on the Locals, the ones who speak funny.

At customs just tell'em your my mate and they should let you in, mind you keep your head down while crossing the Britannia bridge, its not uncommon to have snipers on the parapets with pea-shooters firing incendiary sheep shit they don't do much damage as they are usually out by the time they hit, but they do make a mess on your clothing!

Etequete wise , no probs here really, be careful of passing wind near the Ram as they get quite excited and you could find yourself face down in the mud, a sound of snorting in your ear and an ever increasing pain in the But! :o

As to your final request."Dos o ma dyn gwirson" should clear a BAR for you without commencing WWIII :agrue:

Are there any of you who will be extending the visit beyond the weekend? The reason is that I will need to arrange the me getaway car sooner. don't want to be part of the backlash when you lot have gone.

Mike

I'm cut to the quick. Mr and Mrs Malone did not lend me any dosh (they didnt need to after the free sloe gin)

Yorkie will not be coming to the bash. Unless you PM him and offer to give him loads of dosh. That I feel will work, O yes free Whiskey would go down well as well.

Have tent and slug. Will cuff it from there.

Mike,

for the benefit of those who may arrive late on the friday evening, do you have an RV in mind or will they just have to visit each pub in Anglesey till they find the right one?

:drinking: :drinking: :drinking: :silly:  :morning:

Archie... En All.

I would suggest as the first night, that we remain on site till the last arrives, I shall supply 2 crates of Beer to kick the weekend off and If all arrive the we could retire to a near by hostelty... ... Agree? Good!

There are three hostelries, The Glan Neigr, The Maelog Hotel and the Golf Club which is just over the road from the site, I have contacted the club to see if they will let us use their facilities as Non Members.

I am afraid to say that as of date I shall be working 0800-2000 Sat. & Sun. BUT will be free from 2030 each night and of course all day Friday.

We look forward to meeting you all for a great weekend and hopefully a start of an annual Banyan

Aye
Mike
