London Terror Bombings
As a footnote to that - the method of dispatch doesn't sound like plod to me. Of course certain people could be wearing any kind of uniform.
5 rounds rapid to the napper though with your knee in the small of his back - that has a certain signature to it.

I agree. That kind of killing is deliberate, this guy they killed might not have had a bergen bomb, but I bet he was connected. Or was going to blow something big. Someone wanted this guy dead.5 rounds rapid to the napper though with your knee in the small of his back - that has a certain signature to it.
I bet he deserved it. Court or not, this guy dying probably saver British lives.
Muslims? You could say you are sorry, or capitalise on the fear, say this is what happens when you f@#k with us.
Let them call me a rebel and I welcome it, I feel no concern from it; but I should suffer the misery of demons were I to make a whore of my soul. (Thomas Paine)
It's more the style I was on about Whitey. I think the guys may be right in saying there weren't cops at all. That was an assasination.
You're right about Muslims though - it's like I said yesterday - unlike the Irish bombers, Muslims are relatively easy to spot.

I'd disagree with that one!
I know a couple of English guys (white Caucasians anglo saxons) who are muslims. You have different types of Muslims and add into the mix, Shiks, Hindus and Bhuddists. I also know a guy from Egypt (born and bred of Egyptian parents) who is a christian... funny old world in'itGD wrote:unlike the Irish bombers, Muslims are relatively easy to spot.

The Met have admitted that the shooter was Plod.
The target was a Brazilian,And not connected to AQ.
As we here across the pond are backing off from deadly force,It seems a little sus.that the British Plod are now armed too the teeth.
I'm inclined not to believe the rather terse statement issued by the Met.
Never heard of Taser's?
Question remains,Why did he get up on his toes?

Now thats a very good point Jenny.Jenny ED wrote:and did he understand English?
We get a lot of Mexicans here who claim not to speak English when they get themselves arrested.
Once they get lawyered up their English suddenly improves.
He ran from Officers whose body language would give him a clue as to their intent.
The five rounds to the head is still a little iffy.
If that happened here it would be considered"Excessive Force"And the Officer involved would get admin leave for a while while SBI investigated.
Then he would get fired.

Reminds me of an incident ten years ago in Lyon... You can find the following summary in various places:
A series of terrorist incidents in France in 1995 appeared to be the work of Algerian extremists. In July a cofounder of the Algerian opposition group Islamic Salvation Front (FIS), Abdelbaki Sahraoui, was murdered in Paris. Suspicion focused on another Algerian opposition group, the Armed Islamic Group (GIA), which had earlier put Sahraoui on a "death list" for his supposed conciliatory posture toward the Algerian Government.
A blast on 25 July in a Paris metro station kicked off a campaign of eight bombings or attempted bombings in France. Eight people were killed and 160 wounded in the attacks, which were staged in train stations, markets, and other public places to maximize civilian casualties. Although there were various claims of responsibility for the blasts, suspicions centered on the violent Islamic opposition to the Algerian Government. Some commentators argued that the GIA wanted to punish the Government of France for its supposed support for the Algerian Government; others claimed that the bombings were in retribution for the killing of four Algerian hijackers of an Air France Airbus in December 1994.
French police achieved a breakthrough in September when they traced fingerprints found on an unexploded bomb - discovered on high-speed train tracks near Lyon - to a French citizen of Algerian descent, Khaled Kelkal. The police killed Kelkal in a shootout later that month. In November fingerprints found on another unexploded device and other information led police to arrest several more people of North African descent, two of whom were formally charged with involvement in the bombings. There were no additional terrorist blasts in 1995 following these arrests. The French judiciary may reveal more about its understanding of the structure behind the crimes when the judicial cases against the accused come to trial.
Here's the thing though: Kelkal's safe-house was under surveillance for a while. Somehow, Murphy reared his head and a shoot-out ensued, killing a few of Kelkal's acolytes if memory serves. Kelkal himself made it to a bus-stop where he was shot. He was armed actually.
Some reports such as CNN's state that it was French paras who killed him, when in fact it was two CRS (paramilitary arm of the French National Police) who did the job. In one account I read pre-9/11 by a "horrified" US journo, one cop told the other to "finish off" Kelkal which the cop did with a shot to the head.
This incident in London rings familiar in this way.

They'll soon run out of the whiter variety as London plod tops them

I popped out for a 'swift half' with my neighbours last night, one of whom is a "Paki" in the sense that his dad moved here after fighting for this country and adding a few gongs to his Burma Star in the war. He is understandably worried about a backlash from ignorant c@#t who, frankly, need to grow up. Like it or not people originally from other nations have made their home here and this is their country - one or two may gob off about the failings of this country or its government (it's actually their right in a democracy as long as they don't break the law) but most just fit in and are proud of their country.
It's not particularly relevant to the topic but I think a perspective check might be in order.
GD - you seriously need to grow up.

Sully,
I have the upmost respect for people who change countries too improve their lot. They intergrate, learn the language of the host country and obey the laws of said country.
Prob as I see it is those that have no intention of assimilating,Refuse to learn the language,Take state hand-outs and housing, join little cliques with their original countrymen and start trouble.
I'm not a racist BUT Immigration should stop now.
We have had enough.Canada and Mexico have turned out to be our worst allies,I think that most of Europe have turned out to be your best enemy.
That farking tunnel was the biggest mistake the British ever made.

GD - good answer, fair shout mate I should apologise and I do. Too much Pussers rum last night
No excuse but hope you understand (as BR has said - who needs rohypnol with that stuff on sale)
I don't think anyone would disagree with you Wholley. Hats off to Amir Khan last week who strolled into his first pro fight to the sound of land of hope and glory underneath a Union Flag with a black ribbon on it.
I'm glad I don't live and work in London any more. Not only do they have loony bombers to contend with, it seems like the keystone cops are livening things up a bit

I'll make something quite clear now. I am not a racist nor was I ever sectarian in any way. (despite being an NI Proddie).
I have a burning hatred for anyone who is involved in terrorism however. I watched the quiet, idyllic little country I was born in being totally ruined over 35 years. I'm not just talking about the bombings I'm talking about the polarisation of communities. Something that will take 50 years to mend.
That's exactly what is happening now in Englandshire. The actions of a few are going to make it even more difficult for us as a nation to accept any foreign johnny who lives here - decent or otherwise.
I make no apologies for my flippant remarks regarding ragheads or paddies. If they come to my country and cause trouble then I reckon they need shooting. If their own kind can't sort them out then it is up to the agencies employed by the state to do it.
I know some pretty decent guys who weren't born here and they work hard and have carved out a decent life for themselves. Fair play to them. I will defend their right forever to live peaceful and enjoyable lives.
I'll still make jokes about them, and about the Irish. Ferchristssake you've still got to have a laugh.
As for this Brazilian guy. He ran away from the police. I can't see any excuses. He was in a public place full of people who could see what was going on, he vaulted a ticket gate on the underground (no mean feat). Where he came from the police are a lot more brutal than our constabulary so he knew he wasn't going to get a kicking.
Nah - he was up to something. We've still to find out what. If he was an innocent man then I'm sorry but in the current climate in London I would suggest to any furriner that they play the game with the cops and if that hasn't sent a message to them I don't know what will.
It's about time we had a shoot to kill policy. What a pity we didn't have one in Northern Ireland since 1968. There'd be a lot less fat republicans sniffing at the parliamentary trough in Stormont just now. Taking our tax money after killing our mates and relatives and trying to destroy our economy.

Sully I posted the above before seeing your reply to the thread. Thank you my friend, I appreciate your comments. I also respect your views. In fact they're probably very similar to mine.
You'll have to forgive my flippancy from time to time I'm sure but that's only me having a bit of craic.
