A good friend of mine, now passed on, was a graduate of the University of Virginia. TJ founded it, and at UVA they
affectionately (not to mention
constantly) refer to him as TJ. At one point I was seriously considering grad school there (long story, but I wound up turning down their offer of full tuition and a living expense stipend), and when I was given a tour of the place the guide also called him TJ. They're very big into TJ at UVA. That, and the appeal of Charlottesville, was UVA's biggest draw for me.

I find the first sentence theoretically plausible if one would take some poetic license with the term "socialist," but I flatly do not believe your second sentence. I would bet you a first class ticket anywhere in the United States and a week's accommodations that I can find something on the founding fathers in your college bookstore. By the way, there
should be classes on Marx. They should teach him along with Hitler and other hate mongers of the 19th and 20th centuries. After all, between the two of them, we're talking about well over 100 million dead.

Given that life ain't fair, everyone is a victim of something or other. But this includes white men. The real issue is how people deal with it.
Whitey wrote:Sure I may not have much money, but I'd give all I have to just be free.
I'd hate to be faced with that particular dilemma, because to be destitute is to lose your freedom.

On this, we agree completely. Well, we might part company on certain weapons. I don't think I'm in favor of the right to keep and bear Stinger missiles and .50 caliber machine guns, for example. Other than that, I'm with ya. Well, on third thought, I suspect I might be friendlier to the zoning and environmental laws than you are.

I really hate loud stereos, and
loathe rap music. But I wouldn't advise committing assault and battery over it. BTW, here in Seattle the police can and do enforce the noise ordinance without regard to the race of the offender. I've seen it happen.

I think you're looking for reasons to be outraged.

Don't forget the

Hey, have you ever thought of buying one of those decommissioned nuclear missile silos out in North Dakota? Talk about your getting away from it all. When it really hits the fan, that's the place to be. Easy to defend, and because it's underground the heating bill is low. No need for A/C. I would worry a little bit about rattlesnakes, but real men can deal with rattlers. Grab 'em by the neck and twist. They fry up real good, too. Taste just like chicken.

Don't feel compelled to answer this, but may I ask where you go to school?
Whitey wrote:As to the Revolution, I sometimes wonder about the Mesonic connection between Washington and Cornwallace? No way militarily we should have won that war, glad we did, but our military was more disorganized than Sadr's malitia at the time against an army greater equiped, staffed and trained. Yeah the French jumped in, but doesn't seem like enough to turn the tide. Cornwallace wasn't an idiot, the final battle looks like a ruse.
Was the fate of America decided on a handshake and a fifth column of the illuminate involved and still involved.
All I know is that the Mormon "church" is largely Masonic. Whether this is a gigantic conspiracy is for others to determine, but I tend to doubt it. After watching our $400 billion-a-year military get blindsided on 9/11 it's hard for me to believe in a multi-century conspiracy to rule America with an unseen hand.
