yea, i'm royal anglians.. Start basic on 8th March.. Found that i worried far too much about the adsc. If your better than 10% of the other recruits you'll pass, its that simple. Dress code dont make a difference, other small stuff like that wont affect there final desicion i found.

Wrong, Shirt and Tie will help you allot, good attitude will help you more, good moral will be the best.

Silas Listen to what's on the form and what people say here

Don't spit
Don't swear
Don't be racist
Don't be sexist
Dress respectively
Make sure you're well groomed for you're interview (showered, shaved)

Don't listen to any one who says 'don't bother' with this that or the other

People at our ADSC we're failed on the platform but didn't know it until the interview for the above.

A few weeks present every one who attended ADSC were set on parade and nearly UFFAS'd for one guy who woolf whistled at one of the nurses there, the better you turn out the better off you will be.

[EDIT] Wrote the wrong name.

i totally agree with all of what jstagg has said, the army expect you to be dressed smartly all the time when traveling to and from military bases, or whenever in the public eye ect. it will make a big difference on first impressions. the way they see it is you are representing the british army at all times
the NCOs will be watching and taking notes from the very start

yeah when i was at selection, we was told as soon as we got on that mini buss that it was one big interview, which it is really but i think some people forgot about that when they got to the camp to be honest, messing around and stuff.

You can't never look to smart, unless you're a tracky wearing chav lol one of our NCO at ADSC was making loads of jokes about them when they was stood on the station after pick up hilerious.

Chavs - the most hated sub nation in the world. (be there or be square)

PAH!

Be a square - don't go there. more like.

I really can't see the fascination of dressing in a track suit, going down the car park, smoking spitting yelling and being Asbo's (instead of ass holes, see what i done there? yeah you love it.)

But yeah to be honest i'd advise even the most Professional of chav's to ditch the shell for selection and interviews.
