a BV is a tracked vehicle that Royal drives around in Norway amongst other places.

Good bit of kit but you tend to feel the need to throw up when in the back of a farker for any length of time. Well I did anyway

I've seen those wee things. Too fragile looking for me.

Nope - a BV is for brewing up mate. It's the most essential piece of kit on a panzer. Without in in my day there'd have been mutiny.

Ask any grunt from a battle group, he'll tell you - first box leaguer go and make pals with the tank crews. You get free boiing water and the lend of petrol stoves. Makes life much easier.

I can't even remember what a unit is in cadets but i'm pritty sure we don't use them unless Light Infantry is a unit.

Just a slight diversion from this slagging match.
How did GD and Doc. get the same Avatar?
All those medals! They must be heroes!!
Whoops!! I've just noticed that other people have the same avatar! Sorry, I've just realised it must have taken the place of the "bullets".
Why don't I have any medals?

OK, having read through this thread I am now convinced Stinky Furby is a figment of someones imagination!

I haven't the foggyest grog who it'll be, but I am convinced stinky is ex military and goes by another name on the forum in his normal guise.

Also, to set the record straight, I have never shot a howitzer and last time I tried bareback horse riding I kicked the barsteward in the arse as I jumped up and got kicked in me knacks for the trouble  So sorry Jayne if I venture out riding with you I shall be as much a learner as the great Stinky Himself 8)

Cheers, Benjo

Seems not. 8)
