Quite agree with your sentiments, doc. Ladies should know their place in the grand scheme of things. I certainly do and am happy to restrict my ambitions to becoming chair of the village knitting circle ...... although the hustings for this coveted position can be a pretty cut-throat business. The milling element has been extended to a full two minutes this year to really sort the wheat from the chaff.

I'm sure you have just raised the self-esteem of quite a few male 'members' with that contribution.

Wish I had a webcam to spy on folk's efforts to measure up! (Oops ..... sounding like the dirty so-and-so who is using the daughter's MSN addy.)

Forgot to say that it IS in inches, very imperial here, and wet wipes have a number of uses.

On that 'vein', those new 'finger bob' tooth brush things, one time use ones. Brilliant bit of kit for your webbing. No paste or brush, just slip it on, bit of a scrub and your done! Finger sizes may go up as well as down.

It should read "The MINGLING element..." the bit where you have to mix with all the 'ladies' wot don't do bottom burps and sip tea all afternoon. Good luck, I'm told it's hell!

Sticky, you've clearly never encountered the ladies of the 'Savage Shavington Sewers.' All twin sets and blue rinses but 'Clockwork Orange' pales into insignificance ........

I have come straight in without reading anyone elses posts.

If this has been said before I am sorry.

I believe that women should not be allowed to serve in the 'teeth' arm of the British Army.

Nor should they be allowed to serve in the support corps/services if they are likely to be in ANY contact with the enemy or enemies.

Oh dear. If your location is correct, look around you mate. NI would grind to a halt if there werent females about. They stag on to, so you want to do more stags? Get real.

Anyway, how do you determine where the enemy is?

If you are refering to terrorists as enemies then I would disagree. The terrorists in Northern Ireland are CRIMINALS. I would not give them the satisfaction of calling them an enemy. Then the inference is that they are an army. They are not, they are a band of CRIMINALS.

I was not refering to Northern Ireland when I made the post. I do not believe that females should be in the teeth arm of our Armed Forces.

My humble and heartfelt opinion.

I don't care if women can be harder than Arnies big brother.

I personally believe that they should not be allowed to serve in the teeth arm.

When i was on operational tour I hated seeing females as it made me realise what I was missing back home. ALOT of guys I know were the same.

Im not supporting women fighting on the frontlines. Im just merely pointing out that they can fight if needed. If serving soldiers are against the idea, then so am I.

I'm not. So are you going to change your mind again?
