Hmmm - I'm being insulted by a Rock and it stings *mummy-help*
L7A2 - v- L37? I can't remember the designations but the only difference in the receivers was the 'feed pawl depressor' on the top cover. We did carry enough spares to convert one of the jimpies into the light role at any given time, i.e a stock, trigger mech, bipod and light barrel with a 10 positon gas regulator. Our AA mounted weapon could be out of the mount in seconds and converted for ground use.
Different kettle of fish with the co-axial. It took too long to rip it out and in any case after firing a few boxes off, the receiver and barrel were a wee bit too hot to handle.
I was in the QRIH (now redesignated QRH after amalgamation).
How on earth would a Rock work with our people? We normally wouldn't let uncouth people on our panzers. I mean you might break one??
Perhaps you were digging trenches near us or working as a waiter in our cookhouse tent??
Ammo detail? Were you polishing projectiles for us one day maybe??
PS: you still haven't told me which oil I should use on me obturators??
Catapultam habeo. Nisi pecuniam omnem mihi dabis, ad caput tuum saxum immane mittam!
