The journey from KAF to CB took 15 hours.
Waiting for departure at KAF.
A Leopard driving through Kandahar city.
The journey from KAF to CB went without any incidents.
The tanks are now coordinating with the other combat units in DB(Danish Battlegroup) insertion into the green zone.
They will go into the zone with 3 Lep's and a special made M113G3 that has 3 M2 .50 cal heavy machineguns mounted...
The fourth Lep and the ARV will then stay on alert in FOB Price.

A Danish news report from Helmand.
The embeded reporter is with a platoon in upper Geresk valley.
The platoon is from the royal guards "Odin" company operating out from FOB Sandford.
Basically we follow the platoon during a firefight trying to extract another platoon that has been pinned down by approx. 50 taliban figters.
The reporter, Rasmus Tantholt, explaines that the unit uses british light guns in the fight and a F-15.
The operation is a succes and all are safe and well.

Just read a tread from on a Danish forum where one of the lads from the platoon that were pinned down, explains the situation.
He tells that the Taliban in the area are very good organized and trained.
They aim well, got lots of weapons and ammunition and their tactics isn't bad either.
At one point the Taliban tried too outflank the Danish platoon under cover fire from machineguns(PKMs) and RPGs.
The soldier(on he's way home on leave) tells that if the platoon didn't have had their MG3 teams(Nazi Saw-updated MG42) with them, the Taliban would most likely have succesed and killed the whole platoon...
Pretty intense.
