This thread is one of the most pathetic things I have ever laid eyes upon. I would quote some of the most ridiculous comments, but I would be here all day.

Stop teaching little kids how to be "hard". You all sound like clueless thugs anyway.

This is a schoolyard scuffle, not an historic battle. Maybe some of you could fill us all in on the times you took on 50 boys/men.

I hope none of those ridiculous comments are from my post.

I had heard that some were mounted cavalry, and the rest were armoured knights with swords, shields, flails, mace and spears.
There were a few archers too. And to top it all off they had a trebuchet.
Oh and one air strike at their disposal.

Most of the time fighting isnt the answer, I never really fight only when people try and treat me like a c@#t.. if the fight does kick off you gotta do whatever to keep yourself safe..or tell the principal..

Apart from the few who have advised he avoids the confrontation, this is the first bit of sense on this thread.

I think 4 pages of nonsensical 'advice' telling him to "kick him in the groin", "take down the biggest one first" and "make sure you get tooled up" is enough, don't you?

I think most people are treating this as a joke but your right, who ever started this thread will probably not get in a fight anyway.

We must remember now lads, keep the topics to the serious business of how to do press ups correctly and disscussing peoples run times an how many sit ups you can do in two mins, no laughs or jokes and heaven forbid if someone should use naughty language or take the pi$$

Problem is that I don't personally think that many of the people who gave out the very poor advice (IMO) were joking when they wrote it. I certainly think that the OP was serious in his original question.

Do you think it's funny to condone violence given that most of the people on here are trying to join HM forces were they will have to show restraint in the face of adversity and an awful lot of self-control.

Given that he's asked for this information in the first place indicates to me that he might actually take some of these responses seriously.

There's a whole section for joking and talking about whatever you like.

To be honest ali_hire, I think you're probably right about the amount of serious posts on this thread which, in my opinion, was a bit daft and dramatic to take seriously really.

But you included something I'd said (the get tooled up bit) an I was actually just taking the piss so of course I had to defend my cyber-honour

But I do think people seem to be moaning about what people post a bit too much lately an that was one of the reasons I said what I did, after all it's fun to take the piss out of daft posts, only occasionally though and with the propper supervison of course
