yeah i`ll take a look see at all the REME jobs. I might still join the corps of commissionaires though, my dad was a member and i must say its opened alot of doors for me.

Exuse my ignorance but what is the Corps of Commissionaires? a breif description of who they are and what they do would be nice.

I'm not a Recy Mech although I have crewed a Foden on occasion. As for it being a Recy Mech's job to pull you out of bogs, your right, it is his(or her as there are currently 2 female Recy Mechs) job. That job, however, would be significantly easier if fisters like yourself did'nt get stuck in the first place by reading a map incorrectly or being a cross country driving biff.

My Opinion:

When off duty, distance yourself as far away from the army as possible that way you can never attract any unwanted attention from some civvy tw*t who likes starting trouble with squaddies.

But surely if you wore your LAD t shirt, no civvy would realise you were a soldier? They wouldn't be able to see the crossed spanners under the layers of oil, grease and tea stains.
