You have to be pretty thick not to understand this:

"Since you refuse to 'get it' and remain your sarcastic self,

This is your second and final warning.

No games."

Stand by to get binned. Again.

Oh dear...... how sad ...... never mind. :(

See, Tafmad ...... I joined these forums to look after my lad who was joining the army. I knew fark all and was given grief 'cos I gobbed off a bit (thanks to another gobshite who encouraged me to ''go for it.'')

I have learned since then that folks actually care and would go to the end of the Earth to support each other. As a result I am marrying a guy I met on the forum and I have met a load of folk who are genuine, nice people.

You should stick your pompous head up your arse and join in a bit.

Regards,

Jayne. Special Needs teacher, left-wing LABOUR Councillor .... soon to be Mayor.

I posted this thread in order to suggest to Eijuts that it would not be a good idea to spout crap. That was it in a nutshell. No more no less.

Now however I find a former WO2 Royal Signals (so you say, the boot fits each way does it not?) giving me grief and talking to me as if I was a Mk1 Walter. Such is life.

Taffmad

There is clever and then there is Ignorant. And you come across as Ignorant. I was never SF (shite at swimming truth be told) so the SBS never appealed to me. However I did work for my country in various places during my career. So please feel free to E Mail this latest post to your Chums so they can all laugh at my ignorance and sub normal attitude towards life.

The offer still stands Taff. Any Saturday you want I will be there and then we can have a chat.

Ahoy there!
Around the Hereford area there used to exist a (relatively unknown) rivalry between two groups of military type chaps. One group is disparagingly referred to as "flat 'eads", while the other is known as "walts".
Interestingly, a "flat" can become a "walt", while still retaining his "flat" status and many "walts" have become "flats", but not necessarily fully badged.

Both the "flats" and the "walts" belong to genuine military units which have done 'Stirling' work in a very difficult environment for many years.

The Regiment are the "flat 'eads" and 'the Det' are the "Walts".
Lots of '22' chaps volunteered for and served with 'the Det'. Conversely many 'Det' people have subsequently passed 'selection' for '22'. Also 'Det' personnel were sometimes 'badged' to do specific admin roles and wear the 'beige and blue', but have not passed 'selection' and would not usually serve in a 'Sabre'.

Rogue Chef .....

Do you have a problem with my being an honest, up front individual?

So what! I think the world of her Steve. So may I suggest that you wind your neck in. Thats my say on Flighty. I love her to bits. She's honest and she's a real worker for the people who get ripped off by the Smartarses who tend to rip people off. What the heck, I may vote for her next time.

Ahoy there!

I'm sure she is. Happy to oblige..........................but I don't do neck winding in, I find free speech so much more...................................liberating.

In future please refer to me by my correct title "Mr Rogue Chef, MBE, QCVS, never to be a left wing Mayor."

Ahoy there!

Nope.
Having reached the esteemed position of "Mr Rogue Chef" I would have one of my minions do that, probably one of the many less well established and respected members of the forum or possibly a "Walt"!

Let's set the record straight.
Tafmad called Artist a Walt.
Point blank, and refused to correct or modify his statement.

This isn't about length of membership here, this is about one member calling another a walt. Both guys have served. Neither misrepresented their service.
Let's put the shoe on your foot, Chef: had anyone made a statement to you on the forum, similar to what tafmad wrote, I'd have addressed it in the same way.
This is not a pi$$ing contest, this is nothing to dangle bait about.
