Corporate capitalism relentlessly presses for labor to be an "input" on the same terms as materials, and in doing so it separates people from one another for the sake of standardization and efficiency. Labor unions resist this but only to a degree. Meanwhile, businesses feel free to impose incredible disruptions on families and communities.Ardennes44 wrote:The marriage unit which is the backbone of society is fragmented in most places. Parents spend little or no time raising their children, nourishing them, educating them, and guiding them. Globalism is moving across the planet, erasing cultures, customs, and roots. The result is that we have an awful lot of young people out there who wander aimlessly through life, grasping at straws, trying to find some sense of meaning to their existence.
Then, once the disruptions cause social fractures, the corporate elites blame the societies they've destroyed and move on for greener pastures. The members of those societies begin to turn on each other. It's a modern version of slash-and-burn agriculture. Individuals who resist are labeled communists or socialists, and societies that resist are simply threatened with the loss of their livelihoods.
