Too true about the strike mate
People like that didn't really bother me much, what did get my back up a bit was the numerous very rich insurance companies who refused to insure my house because I was in HM Forces and likely to be away ('away' keeping them safe to earn their massive profits and give their Gareth Cheeseman's the latest Mondeo).
