Correct poition, 1" above left eye, but P.W.s wore theirs more to Port, as did various other SQs and units. 45 for instance. Range snipers wore theirs back to front, particularly when firing into the sun :P

The Jan/Feb issue of G&B has me totally confused on this issue. Page nine and the back cover, show two RSMs plus the Corps RSM. One man has his cap badge smack over his left eye, the other two, including the Corps RSM, have the badge mid-way between eye and ear. Strikes me that anything goes in the dress code of todays Corp, if RSMs cannot agree on the simple issue of where the cap badge should sit.

Any pictures of royals i've seen look quite smart, wherever their beret badge is. How come the para's seem to have no consistent rule, some of em look like their wearing flat caps!

So anyone seen this new SBS beret badge? And do they keep the green lid or go with something else?

I'm very afraid that the "something else" will be the next thing to change and I wouldn't mind betting my meagre pension, that it will be sand coloured!!

Stix, If I ever dared wear my beret like the guy in that bottom phot, my arse would have been kicked all over the nearest parade ground, and yes, I did my time in 45 too,!!!!' :o :o :o

Sticks,
That guy at the bottom looks like he is wearing a ratting cap!! I can hardly see the cap badge. Surely even 45 Cdo don't wear it that far round!!
