No mate just run faster on what you have available, hill running for primarily anyway is all about leg endurance so if I didn't have hills to run on I would do things like 100 Burpee challenges and such like

Massive high rep bodyweight squats at the end of a run too (300+)

Not a lot at all really just run around in a big circle waving your arms about and touching the floor of what I can remember.

That should be your last worry, the 3 miler if you train will be easy.

Start doing sprints before hand mate, say about half the length of a football pitch 2-3 times and sprint on the spot 5-10 times for 10 seconds etc etc. Thats what it was like for me and whether you do or not try and do your runs early morning to replicate PRMC as well.

Good Luck

Hey. I have started running at 0630 before work and have introduced sprinting roughly 250m twice on my 3 milers and 4 times on my 5 milers. the idea being to knacker myself out and develop the mental strength to just keep going. It seems to be getting easier and my times are dropping.

How quickly do I need to be able to run 3 miles to pass the PRMC 3 miler comfortably? I usually do it in about 21 mins 20 secs. I live high in the fells near the Lake District and my route is very hilly.
