Yeah i thinkyou should recorda 3 mile time mate as that is what you will be assesed on. you also have to remember that we will be running as a troop, and that tends to helpcarry people along/

I personally havent timed a 3 miler, but i ran with a marine the other day and he timed it to be 18mins but im sure it couldnt have been three miles, he set the pace and im sure i could have knocked at least 20 seconds of that. I cant realisticly see me doing three miles in 17.40

Paulc83: The 3 miler is run as a troop for 1.5 miles but the rest is individual best effort (might have been just for me though)

Thats what it says in my Marine fitness booklet thing.
Before you insult someone, first walk a mile in their shoes, that way when you insult them, you are a mile away and you have their shoes.

Oh yeah forgot. That should benefit me as after about 1.5 miles i run a lot better and quiker than if i was to do just 1.5 from flat, prob gives me time to find my stride.
I cant see that ill have any troble with the running (3 miler)just the sit ups and bleep test being my main concerns.

To be honest the 1.5 mile back is over relatively easy ground (no massive hills except a small gradient at the beginning)

If you can get hold of a bleep test and goto a carpark with an mp3 player. Its practice more than anything else.

No, I am starting to up my pb on running next week. It takes my 32.30 to do 4 miles though.

found when I did the PRMC traing folling the guid ethey laid out I had no problems with stiffness etc. I was bike 220+ mile a week on top tho.

Follow the guide, play football/rugby/judo etc and always push yourself during training.

Just my £0.02
