PS Don't really want to even get into the gargantuan holes in this latest story (ie at what point did this doctor who refuses to diagnose you due to it being all in your head, er, prescribe you a course of antibiotics?), suffice to say...

I will pretty much do anything to get cured and do the PRMC and start training, I can't wait I can almost taste it! :)
If you can't wait, can almost taste it, then there's nothing stopping you matey, just take a whizz and bottoms up!

Me mums said she had something similar at the age of 17. She said it somehow passed in time, took around a month after trying every possible treatment, but boy, when this passes I'm at Lympstone straight away!! Over the past few days, I suspect that I might still be growing(19) and my throat is developing, Adams apple is developing painfully maybe thats what happens. If ym new suspicions turn out correct The marines are a short while away!! yayyy :D  :P

:D Pending me chat with a mate, I found out he suffered the same symptoms, and he had Glandular fever. It is said anti biotics are useless against it. Also vigarous exercise can post pone healing, ie My running, so I have been sober of exercise for about a week now and I feel a little better :o So, I'm pretty convinced I got glandular

Don't take the risk mate. Like others have said, let the anti-biotics do its stuff and go down when you're 100%.
Bleedin' ell. They keep that one off the recruitment drive ads lol.
It cant be that uncommon. Apparantly on the course before mine a lad was so exhausted he had to go to hosital on a drip. And he still passed!

You would be much, much more ill if you had glandular fever. It's just a virus. It's also well known that glandular fever usually lasts for a minimum of 3 or 4 months, so good luck to you if you really believe that that is what you have.

I'd be slightly worried if my mum ever had a painful Adam's apple.. :o

Me too but pain in the throat rather. I tried gargling with piss but I am feeling worse, it might be some infectious buildup in the throat. had a blood test and awaiting the result. But after this, I will work on my fitness a little more when I get better.
