I got strep throat, but the docs seem not to be diagnosing me! Me mum is nagging me to join and try even with my condition. Basically it is real hard to breath and painful to swallow.
Should I ask go for the earliest PRMC date, or should I wait until I recover? Me mum only wants me out the house, so shes pestering me to take an early PRMC date.
I want to be successful and acheive the best possible but I can't do that with a bad throat. What do you guys suggest, earliest date or recovery??
Could someone clarify if the Pressups and situps are done to bleeps?? Or your told to start and u get timed???

I really would wait until you're better to do the PRMC. People usually end up breathing through their arses, even when they can breathe properly, so God knows where you'd end up breathing through. I've had what you have before, and there is no knowing when it's going to get really bad (i.e. waking up in the middle of the night in so much pain that you swallow an entire pack of strepsils). You wouldn't want that in the middle of the PRMC. You'll also not be at your best because of the condition, and for PRMC, you really need to be top notch.
Hope that helped,
Al
P.S. As far as I know, you do press-ups and sit-ups to the bleeps, and your score is then recorded once you can no longer keep up with the pace.

and no the press-ups and sit-ups are not done to a bleep (they are on the POC)
YOUR MOTHER WILL JUST HAVE TO WAIT!!!![]()
BTW another question, can you rest in the pressup position on PRMC and press for the full 2 minutes?? Resting-continuing resting-continuing, is that allowed??

I wouldn't worry about the press ups, you can do one hundred can't you?
REMOVED as it was an ofensive comment, see me after class
Really though it's best for all parties that you wait till the anti-biotics have run their course because if your taking them it means you have an infection.
Personally I'd run it past my GP.

Felias mate, definetely wait. One guy on my PRMC was ill (he had a chest infection or something and found it hard to breath). On bottom field warm-up it is so hard, he (apparently) almost died. I only saw it in the corner of my eye whilst doing press ups. The Sgt Major was shaking him shouting 'look at me!'. He came back the next day after being rushed into hospital but obviously failed PRMC.
Don't take the risk mate. Like others have said, let the anti-biotics do its stuff and go down when you're 100%.

Hmm, I will wait till I'm 100%, I have tried to keep fit ie upper body but aerobically I have found it proper ard. My gp is not too bothered, I have had like 5 appointments with him, he has not bothered to do any relevant test with me because he thinks it is in my head, being told that is quite annoying and the only option I have had, is searchng for symptoms on the net and found a few thing. I am day 2 into anti's and not feeling anybetter. It might of been that time when, I decided to be cool and hang from my neck without arm support on a chinup bar.Daveb wrote:Felias mate, definetely wait. Best to wait untill you recover on my opinion mate. You could go down and try, but if you fail your might be given upto 6months before you can try again.
Press ups and sit ups are down continuously for 2 minutes at your own pace. You can rest in the press up position and while lying on your back during the sit ups. During the pull ups, done in groups of 2/3, the PTI waits untill the last man gets up and then tells you to lower yourself down (all the way).
