From the moment Greek boys could walk and talk they started there military training. They would be partnered off with another lad same age. From then on they would never leave each others side. They will eat, sleep, drink and fight together. Being that close to someone all your life would of meant you loved each other.

But knowing my luck if I lived then I would be teamed up with a right minger

Personelly I would'nt want OPENLY gay people in the Armed Forces. I say openly because law of averages must mean theres loads already in and always was.

Can you imagine it:
. Naked posters of men on the walls
. Bringing your boyfriend to mess do's
. Trying to sneek blokes into camp in the boot of your car
. Shagging your way to RSM

By the way one of our greatest military leaders Richard the first was supose to be Gay. Then again he did spend more time in France than England so that should explain it

The reason for not allowing " gays" in the Armed Forces, is exactly the same as not allowing females to serve on the front line.
You may well get too intimate with a particular person - to be able to fight without constraint of being involved with a female/gay person.
I don't think it can be done.

Would not know really. Once when I was turned in at RNH Stonehouse (A Royal Navy Hospital) with a Knackered Knee after a Mishap at a Place called Jennycliffe. This Three Badge Matelot with a dodgey back tried to touch me up whilst I was fast asleep (I was a Skin looking 21 year old Cpl at the time). I broke his Collarbone, his left cheek bone, four ribs and would have farking topped him save for the Naval Nurses who interjected just as I was ready to shove his knackers ten feet behind his farking head! Queers to me are not welcome in the Armed Forces. OK?

I completely see where those who are against gays in the military are coming from (oo er), that some sort of "special attraction" may hamper judgement in tricky situations.

But, on the other side, what makes you think that young poofter is going to fancy some ugly farker like you anyway?

I have nothing against gays in the military as long as they keep their sexuality, and all the organs it concerns, away from me.
There have been, are, and will be gays in the forces for a long time to come - I think the real issue is "Should camp men be allowed in?"

I have no problem with gays.

But they shouldn't be allowed in the military. They are only allowed nowadays due to political presure from the bloody PC brigade.

That the percy and the crabbies are activly and openly recruiting at a predominantly gay festival dosen't sound to healthy to me.

if i were a potential recruit going for training soon, i would stop and think after seeing the news of the recruiting at manchester.
yours aye

GD Im so so sorry, I apoligise with all my heart I really do. It was very insulting of me to sugest you were a Cherry Bum in the KRH.

Only joking Dave-Mil, got you and GD mixed up ( you dont say). I bet GD is thinking what the hell is that prat on with.

Your little coment reminded me of a advert I saw in a magazine I just happened to come across. I mean I didnt buy it, it was'nt mine honest. There was this advert for a gay phone line that said "IM NOT GAY BUT THE BLOKE SUCKING MY C*CK IS"

There was no KRH in my day lads (Christ I sound old). That's a modern invention. It was the RH. (10th & 11th).

Fortunately my regiment's beret and distinctive trappings were in green :P

He does have a point about the thigh length leather boots Harry

GD when you were in Lord Cardigan and Capt Nolan were still in the 11th.

As for the big boots I cant answer it, you've got me there. The gay men love em down at Horse Guards.

Aye and when you were in mate a Chieftain was a rank, not a tank.

Incidentally, they still have one of Cardigan's horse's hooves at KRH (or they did at RH). They used to have it in the lobby of the ossifers mess. They also had their staff parade at 2210hrs, because that's when his nibs shuffled off this mortal coil.
