Hi Guys and gals, first post so treat we kindly,
Creatine is good as discused already but you need to drink stacks of wets or you'll deyhdrate, good for training but not event day.
On the day itself get some Hi5 carb gels, protein bars etc. Goto Hi5.com they were giving out trail freebies.
Or go into any cycling shop, the gels are about a quid each and some have caffiene, again pop these towards the end or you'll dehydrate.
Eat well the days before, lots of complex carbs, such as pasta or rice.
Drink loads of water but on event day add in some sort of electrolyte mix, this obviously replaces lost nutrients, but also water absorbs faster into the body when mixed with electrolytes as opposed to plain old H2O.
Avoid simple carbs like simple sugars, they are the enemy, your blood levels will go to shite, stick with complex carbs but keep the intake regular.
post event get some carbs down your neck within 30 mins and some protein to help the repairing process, next day eat well and do light phys so u dont freeze up. Any further help just shout.
Hope it helps,
Doc

Any nutritionists out there????
Come on chaps, I have said plenty of times you don't need creatine or supplements.
Sure it helps you to push that extra couple or reps and increases your muscle size slightly, but that's only water retention.
As soon as you come off creatine you will loose it and you certainly won't be able to use it when you start your training on day1.
Eat four big healthy meals a day and train hard!
If you are taking bodybuilding seriously then that's a different storey.
