I sent it to the lads who are Paras, so they can decided whether to bother with it or not, I'm not in the British military so I've bowed out of this and I won't be sending the photo to any more people,

crap hat. lol. explain. to us rifles you are red coats, i think you can understand that, our roles as rifles is, commando, light role, mechanised, armoured and now sfsg. as i am 1 rifles we now have this opened to us to which we are sending a plt to 1 para. every battalion is in essance "air assault" as we all chopper in to the fight. no one drops in now. how ever the commando role is still very unique as only commando units can do commando assaults. i think if you really think about it in this modern world of war fighting para reg is just a normal light role reg. 2 fine units tho
Guy posted that on ARRSE, and some other stuff, basically that 1st Batt of the Rifles the ones attached to the Commando brigade were going to send a Platoon to the SFSG, I was wondering who they'd be replacing, would the RM's allow themselves to loose out a PLT in an already largely army show, would the Paras let one of their own PLT's be replaced by none Para's or are the RAF guy's leaving the show?
