On the other hand you might be wondering "what a bunch of nobbers? Just because I dared to question the validity of a post by a 'senior' member of the forum with a hint of humour and a tinge of sarcasm I am under the cosh. I wonder if those involved have lost their sense of reality, humour and rationale or have they simply lost their collective way and got too big for their boots?"

Steve, many thanks, at last an articulate response from someone with a sense of humour who actually lives in the real world. In fact, the phrase what a bunch of nobbers and back slappers did cross my mind a few times I e-mailed the post to some mates, they were in bits.. and I did receive a lot of ideas on how to respond, most of which involved phrases ending in telling them to 'off. But that's squaddies for you they have little time for the pompous. It would certainly seem that humour and sarcasm have no place on a military forum where the retired SF rule.


The walt/antiwalt saga has become a religion.

In the beginning was the Walt, and those that were walted against were sorely miffed.
And it came to pass that those walted against did send their walt catchers into the lands to seek out those of portly girth wearing the combats in the drinking dens.
And verily the walts were outed, for they knew not the colour of the boathouse
And ye the walt hunters returned with glad tidings to those walted against and there was rejoicing in the land and much back slapping and this was good in the sight of those walted against.
But all was not well for those walt against did not see enough bandwidth with regard to their exalted position, so they set out warnings for all to see. And yet again there was much back slapping.
But there was there were those that did not follow the gospel of those who where being walted against, and abuse and warnings were showered upon their heads.
Repent! shouted the back slappers or you will burn in hell and be fourum less..


And yes Steve I am impressed.. honestly..

I don`t see your contribution here as constructive. Which really is a great shame because I`d have thought a former Sigs WOII would have fitted in well with the banter and had something positive to offer.
