press for the last vet of WW1 to have a State Funeral
(Lets wait till he`s dead though, hey )

That would be a good thing, I`d say.

Harry....if we wait until he is dead then it will be to late to arrange any thing. It will take the Government a year or so to make up their mind, so would not want to dig him up some time later just to have the funeral

It`s a sad thing Tab, for sure. Even someone who was fifteen in 1918 would have to be ninety-eight-ish today. Who`s benefit is this State Funeral going to be for? Not the last Vet for sure, he`ll be well checked out by then :P .
It`s looking like that nice Mr Blair will get loads of photo opportunitys as he shows how "Soldier Friendly" he is. I question everything these cults do. Why would a Socialist Government with such charmless morons as Johnny two jags" Channel ferry steward" Prescot as it`s luminaries, want to associate itself with the massive loss of lives in the Great War? :-?
Be very wary when they start to include Herman`s cas figures :P It can mean only one thing. :o
Here you go, Gordon, I`m off to Euro-land as top banana and gravy train driver 8)

I think I have had to much to drink I am seeing double, god I must cut back a bit, still double or not it still looks good.
Well back to your question Harry. I feel it would be a gesture to all those that have gone before, hopefully it would remind people just what these men went through, and it would be an end to a huge chapter of history.
Well thats my thoughts on it any way.
