After studying about the attack to Invincible i still waiting for someone who tell or answer me this questions:
They are remarkable in the similarity to your (NsId) posts all the same crap as noted by:

http://p069.ezboard.com/falltheworldsba ... 1386.topic
There have been several topics on this matter circulating around on the Internet, saying that the Invincible had been hit and sunk in the Falklands. It's not true, this is just speculation hitting the British topics. HMS Invincible was never destroyed in the Falklands War. The ship is fine, she returned safely from the Falklands and therefore if you read anything that suggests otherwise it is total rubbish and people are just simply messing around with stupid rumours. So the up-to-date truth is, that HMS Invincible (R05) is indeed still looking very well and so please ignore anymore of these remarks that you either read or hear, concerning this matter. I thought I would just shed some light on this subject.
This is backed up by the astonishing lack of being sunk mentioned here:

http://www.hmsinvincible.com/index2.htm
I served with Invincible from '81 - '83, including during the Falklands War in '82. Was Captain's personal steward during the commissioning service and for a long time after. Any ex stewards or catering contacts reading this - I would love to hear from you...some may remember me as Jock or mad Jock! Wolfie, Stuart Jago, Brum Bough...where are you now???
If you do a search on google you will find a couple of Argentinian sites that have stories of attacking HMS Invincible. However the rest of the world sites fail to mention it. You also got a roasting on www.arrse.co.uk so why don't you f*ck off and find another forum to peddle your crap on.

We are differents persons.
Believe it or not. Ask the mods of thats forum to vrerify the ip, you ´ll see.

Still amusing.
So far.
Maybe it's me who's delusional but I could have sworn I was sitting in the senior rates mess swigging canned Guinness aboard RO5 in 1983-4.

As you have already told me, in PMs, that you move around I don't think that holds any credibility! How do you even know where he is from? Anyone smell it?

If I were you NSLD I'd shut up. Lots of people went down south and didn't come home, their buddies on here don't need you mouthing off about the war and making stuff up.

Invincible may have been hit but so was Glamorgan and she made her own way home so I'm sure invincible could too. On the way home the task force needed to cross the equator so they could do the repairs there instead of the feezing south atlantic.

If you are right and she did sink, then we kicked your spick arse with just Hermes.

Invincible has just finished her final commision anyway hasn't she?

Sticky,
If I wasn't paranoid, I could read your last post as "SEAL SBS IN"

And given the subject of your photo', It would be very appropiate!! Not the "Bullshit Bag" of course - but the "Brown Paper Bag"!!

Is it only we ladies who can spot a wind-up over the ether?

Methinks this guy is a 'smelly' metamorphosis.

And it ain't very often that I'm wrong ..... about anything. Ask my kids/ colleagues / mates. :D (And if I am, I never admit it. )

Well here we go:

The official web page of the Royal Navy say this:

HMS Invincible R 05 N = 194 mts

HMS Illustrious R 06 L = 194 mts

HMS Ark Royal R 07 R = 210 mts

source:
http://www.royal-navy.mod.uk/static/pages/1891.html

However a web page of the Falklands War, put the next photo, saying is HMS Illustrious with HMS Invincible in July of 1982.
" the HMS Invincible actually remained in the area long after the main body of the British Task force and was relieved on the station only by the HMS Illustrious in July 1982. "
Source:
acig.org

But this photo show us the ships are not identically, one is larger than the other.

Now, if you search for the large of Illustrious will see: 210 mts as Ark Royal, that because the Illustrious of 1982 (194 mts) now is the HMS Invincible.
