As Jenny Ed says yes it is scary. I was down the Smoke the Thursday before the 7 July blasts. And the one thing I noticed was the "Melting Pot" that is London.

Enoch was absolutely right, but you can't tell the PC brigade that. Having worked in the Middle East for 10 years, you get used to being told "This is my country" by the locals. Because we, the Brits, are adaptable, we accept it. After all, you work in another country, with another culture, and you follow their rules. Then you get back to UK on leave and, suddenly, your own country isn't your country, but every other barstewards.

I wish the PC brigade would try living in another country, even one as cosmopolitan as Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Oman, and try to have a religious discussion about anything. Try to get the word "religious" mentioned on a local radio station, in any context and see what the reaction is. Enjoy having the fasting of Ramadan imposed on you, regardless of the fact that your are not a Muslim.

A few things that have always puzzled me:-

1. Why do we not have a White Police Officers Association?

2. Why do we have a Black Police Officers Association?

3. Why do we have a Gay Police Officers Association?

4. Why do we have a Muslim Parliament of Great Britain? I mean, try to form a Christian Parliament in one of the Arab states and see their reaction.
