Well done on passing mate! Good scores too. I'm going into Depot in October, so hopefully you get on there! All the info you need on PRAC is on this page mate, there is a good diary on page one from one of the other lads!

Thanks mate. Yeah fingers x'd about depot in October. How did you find PRAC mate, did many lads fail? Also what was your steeplechase and runtime? ( If you don't mind me asking )

think if a pass prac in a week or two a might be in the october intake not defo the now still need to beast PRAC lol ... what is the run times for steeplechase ??? is a pass or fail like the 1.5 miles ????

Im pretty sure the time limit for the steeplechase is 18mins and I think as long as you show your giving it everything you've got you can pass it if you miss this time ( don't take my word for it though as I'm not 100% mate whether it's pass or fail )

Got my PRAC date today, I've been booked on for next Tuesday (25/8/09), are any of you lads on that date?

Dunno mate, they can't be on holiday if I'm booked on though, I'm goin Tuesday but another lad I've been speaking to got his date given to him before me, but his date ain't till sept wheras mines next week so I dunno y that is. I'm not complaining though lol. How did u do at ADSC mate, do you know your runtime and grade?

the time limit for the steeplechase is a target, you have to get under 20mins. THIS IS THE PRAC PROGRAMME ON THE MOD, PARACHUTE REGIMENT WEBSITE. The only difference is the 3.5 squadded run is BEFORE the 1.5 run, and it's a warm up but thats an understatement I am lead to believe. I haven't done mine yet, I need to get my doctor to give me the all clear for a medical reason then hopefuly I will get on to doing mine, How many sit ups and press ups do you need to be able to do?
PROPOSED PRAC PROGRAMME

Serial Timings Activity Remarks
Tuesday
1 1200 – 1300 Pick up potential recruits from Darlington Station Minibus and 2x JNCOs
1300 – 1400 Move to Helles Barracks, move into accommodation, have lunch, initial kit issue . Under supervision
1400 – 1500 Introduction to PRACFamiliarisation with Barracks OC PRACCourse NCO
1500 – 1600 Introduction to Trainasium OC PRAC and course NCOsAmbulance and medic present
1600 – 1700 Ice Breaker. Presentation on themselves by potential recruits. Course NCO in Pl presentation room.
1700 – 1745 Evening meal
1745 - 1900 Description of Barrack routine and demo of block jobs and locker/bed layout Course NCO
1900 - 2030 Visit to Helles Bks HUB/NAFFI facilities Under course NCO supervision. No alcohol policy enforced.
2030 - 2200 Barrack routine / preparation for next day Course NCO.
Wednesday
0600 Reveille
0600 – 0700 Ablutions / Prep for block inspection Course NCO
0700 – 0730 Breakfast
0730 – 0800 Block inspection OC PRAC / Course NCO
0800 – 0945 Introduction to SA80 / NSPs Course NCO
0945 – 1045 Introduction to the Infantry OC PRAC / course NCO
1045 – 1145 Physical AssessmentPFT (Sit ups, press ups, 1.5 mile timed run) Followed by 3.5 mile squadded run (7min/mile) . 2x course NCOs, ambulance and medic.
1145 – 1230 Course admin
1230 – 1300 Lunch
1300 – 1400 First Aid / Map Reading Lesson Course NCO
1400 – 1500 Test on Intro to SA80 /NSPs lesson from that morning. Course NCO
1500 – 1630 Interviews with OC PRAC / Basic Skills test / Candidates to write essay on their life. OC PRAC course NCO

1630 – 1900 Administration / Evening Meal / preparation of next day. Course NCO

1900 - 2030 Visit to Helles Bks HUB/NAFFI facilities Under course NCO supervision. No alcohol policy enforced.
2030 - 2200 Barrack routine / preparation for next day Course NCO.
Thursday
0600 Reveille

got ma PRAC dates the day got mines on tuesday the 25th next week...

count me in boys......and ma mate just done the prac few weeks back on the 3.5 mile run isnt 7mins/mile lol but it is quick

good luck all who is attendin

they said to me if a pass september is a shout !

How would he know what min miles it was ?

Yes your mate has done it i got that bit but how does he know what min miles they were ?
