Forgivness
I can forgive a person who has done me wrong.
But I cannot forgive anyone who has done wrong unto others.
I do not have the power or the right to do this!
Sadness comes to mind, when I think of all those lives lost for a senseless war. Senseless for me that is - others would argue.
I have come to the point in which I myself say that war is wrong, evil and ugly - all wars are wrong.
But, I don´t say that military forces are wrong - without them we would have anarchy - armies stabilise but used wrongly can mutate into a hoard of murderers.
There is one memory I would like to share, I´ll enter into no discussions about it, but just imagine that people would have the chance to watch this on TV/Video... It wouldn´t be right!
Just outside of Sarajevo on a dirt track whichj once was a big major road we were travelling toward the city when I saw a 12 or 13 year old boy with no shoes and raggedy clothes walking down the road - an old Yugo screamed up the road and smashed into him from behind; the car skidded to a halt as did we.
Three men exited the vehicle and our immediate thoughts were that they were going to help him.
As we watched on, the three men dragged him unto his feet and the butt of an AK struck his face sending teeth and blood flying. He sunk to his knees; one shot and he fell face first into the dirt. Dead. He wasn´t even 10 years younger then I.
Not once did he scream, no tears ran down his face - just empty.
The french army, who were also there, stated that they presumed that the boy "escaped" from a questioning point and the three men, who incidentally left him lying there, drove away after giving us the finger!
Should we really watch all the crapp which the WWW can offer???
