Well mine is permanently screwed into a doorway between my I'M A SCAMMER SPAMMER!!! and a smaller room, so I've never taken it out to inspect the damage. But I think theres 3 screws in each metal bit which you screw into the wall, so obviously there will be 3 holes in each side if you take it off. But you twist the bar to make it longer and line it up so it goes into the metal circle things, so you could probably take the bar out with ease, just it might be annoying if you have to unscrew the metal circles each time you use it. Also you've got to make sure you don't put it where your door closes, because these circle things stick out, you won't be able to close it. So if you've still got a doorway that can fit that, then I would buy it.

I have problems with mine being a bit low, as I'm just over 6 foot, but just hold the bar then bend your knees up before you start.

Nah I need one for my bedroom doorway though there's a door there so permanent ones aren't good for me. Anyone know where I can get a decent, cheap movable one that won't damage the doorway?

I've got a doorway in my I'M A SCAMMER SPAMMER!!! that will go but I'm still in school and living with my family and I don't fancy doing pull-ups whilst my parents cook dinner!

Also depending on the width of your doorway and if there's a wall right next to it you might have some problems doing pulls ups with your palms facing outwards, way to sort this is to put your hands closer together but obviously this makes it harder. Also if you've ever seen ALIENS, the pull ups Vasquez does where her head goes in front of the bar are pretty much impossible in a tight doorway. (Not like I could do them anyway)

I do have a wall right next to my doorway but I'm sure it won't be too much of a problem.

Very good pull up bar (that won't damage your door frame and is suitable for tall people):

Very good pull up programme:

If you can keep the bar in the doorway, then buy the one from Argos, if you can't, and you've got £30, buy the other one. I think that one looks proper good, anyone got it so they can pass a review?

I just brought a Powerbar, and it is great, it's absolutely rock solid. I've got flimsy door frames in my house, being a new build and all, but it takes the weight superbly, plus the fact that I weigh 16 stone!!!!
You can put it up and pack it away in seconds, highly recommended!!!!!

I've got it and I thoroughly recommend it. Living in a rented house, I can't afford to risk losing the deposit because the landlady doesn't like the damage I've done to the doorway by buying a cheap pull up bar :D. It sits above the doorframe, so is usable by tall people, and is also wider than the door frame so you can do wide grip pull ups as well. The only criticism you could have of it is that the bar is a little thin so it doesn't work your grip as much, but this can easily be improved by wrapping a towel round it.

What if you have a door in the doorway? I mean if you open your door will it fit?
