No one at the afco ever mentioned anything to do with lasering. When the optician said "you've had your eyes lasered", I replied "yes". No point in lieing to him when he's the expert.
The form he has to fill in does'nt mention lasering, but does have an "extra notes" section. Luck of the draw i'm afraid mate. You can always try another optician if your man wont let you through.
The choice is yours !!

Eye Exam
Hi Mate,
Had mine last Wed's, and it was a breeze.
I booked at the opticians a week before so that i could take my doc's back to the recruiting office asap......always book even if you fail the pyscometic test, the quicker the better in my eyes (terrible pun i know)
The optician who was dead nice, did the usual put the glasses on got me to read the board, top to bottom. Checked for colour blindness by getting me to look at coloured dots.
Then they put different lenses in to check my refraction sight(what ever that means)
Then they checked the back of my eye for retinal disconection....this is dead important apparently bright lights from explosions etc will really show up with a stabbing pain if you had retinal disconection. She was a ex fire brigade ocupational health medic, so she knows aparently.
So any one that has had a black eye have a check up before hand, i had a few bar brawls in my time with a few black eyes and fractured cheek bones and i was bricking it. Black eye's are prone to causing retinal disconection.
Turns out i have better than 20/20 vision.
If you have history, get a cheap eye test at spec savers i say....double check to save the stress.
