I cant bloody stand firemans carries either, it's literally 90 seconds of agonising pain (although the last time i did it was after bottomfield and the assault course x2).

Tomharto30, will there be a cheaky warm-up before the BPT? :o

nah not at all, they save them for the practice sessions, they genuinly want you to pass, and so like with every other test they give you all the help they possibly can.

I'm actually sh**ing myself now!!lol

I guess firemans carries are always going to easier the bigger you are.

firemans carry is not easier for bigger guys because when you match up down there you get together with someone your wait. If you're bigger then you're matched up with a bigger guy. so nobody profits and its an easy test to pass, its 90 seconds of pain and once thats done, thats you passed that test.

I was told they was no policy on two similiar weight guys, and that the PTI's would go out of their way to create mismatches to see how long it would take before the lighter guy flipped and gave up.

Yep, I had first hand experience of that but still managed to complete the 200metres, even if it was a fast walk

I'll remember that Sully, good advice :D

I always find it helps to try and stay in the middle of the pack. Atleast then you have a fairly good chance of making the time and you can use the other lads to pace yourselves (e.g. not letting the guy behind you overtake you)

Or even Drill

Camp cicuits were deadly though, not so bad if you only did one but when you were doing 3 then straight back in for sprints :( Never did them with green mats personally only the logs in week 2
