I find them more comfortable, they sit nice and high above the webbing. If you still want one I'll sell you mine.

That's a good point. I only used the PLCE bergan and an old cyclops civvy one (80L I think) that I got cheap from someone going outside. I liked the civvy one for exactly that reason. If the bergan sits down on your webbing and drags it down your back is getting pulled in all sorts of directions. The PLCE straps didn't really hold it up (at least for me) and on long yomps you'd see plenty of lads folding their arms or craddling their weapons in an attempt to keep the bergan up.
