ive already posted this, 'midn games in training' but what the hell here goes.
thinsg that keep me going is thinking about the height level of fitness i will hvae acheived, earning the green beret, passing out with great honour infront of family and friends. The idea of thinking, im training to be a world class fighter, that im different from the common person, that im going to stand for somthing. I think of lots. Especially when ill be able to take a rest

what keeps me going is thinking of coming over that bridge on the 30 miler with my troop with all the other lads clapping at us achieveing it and then knowing that i have become a royal marines commando, going onto the field absolutely shattered and having whoever come round and handing me my green lid, congratulating me and shaking my hand then being handed my flashes, then knowing the training is over and what i've worked for i have finally achieved, thinking of my familys faces when they come and watch me in my passout parade and being so proud, then going back to my teachers who said i would never amount to anything and just being that proud that i wouldnt even have to be rude to them i could just say "remember when you said i would never amount to anything, well here's my green beret which i have worked for more than i ever did at school so where most of your students really havent done anything with their lifes i actualy worked for what i really wanted" sorry for the essay just love thinking about it!:D
Never Quit-Quitting is for those who are not serious about achieveing their goals.
Gday lads
Yeah ben mate totally agree with on that one. Ive met so many people that you can just tell they think you never amount to anything. Main thing to keep me going is having to work for 2years on a stinking island to save up enough money to get over to the UK so iam not gonna give up anytime soon...well maybe after bottom field warm up

haha yeh mate i had it all through the time i went school because i just wasnt interested in sitting learning maths and stuff like that i would rather have been outside playing in the tree's and having a good time playing manhunt and having a bit of a scuffle with the other lads just being young lads really so they never thought of me as someone who might do any good to the world! little did they know what i want to aspire to!!

I just take a little compass with me and stab myself in the arm when i feel like quitting....
Ha ha, only joking - Same as you guys i guess. Just change my mental focus "just gotta make it to the next street light" "Each step is a step closer to home" and my personal favourite "dont be a little pussy bitch - shift your fat arse"

haha yea, i like using the old swear words of encouragement, because nothing feels worse then quitting after you've come so far.In_Training wrote:I just take a little compass with me and stab myself in the arm when i feel like quitting....
