im new to this forum and im used to more less formal forums and i never knew this was like a offical forum for i thought i was just a help desk type one.
also i dont see wt is wrong with asking whos a rm here for i have up most respect for all armed force people.
i guess u all are a group of long time freinds and dont like the new people coming in ,ok il leave then if u dont like what i say(sry if i seem this way)

If you're not completely comfortable using this forum why don't you try http://www.thestudentroom.com (go to Careers, Armed forces). You might find it a little more 'informal'. It's not specific to any of the forces - it's just a general forum though, which has more RAF Officer candidates than anyone else. However you'll be with likeminded people who want to join the forces.
You won't get away with text speak so come armed with a dictionary.
However MFAT is a lot more dedicated to 'fitness and training' (obviously)and may be more useful. TSR is more geared towards the application process.
Up to you but it's a suggestion

As I said to you the first time I replied to this thread. Take your time when posting. Text Speak is a no no. Your not the first and I'm 100% sure that you will not be the last to start on this forum using text Speak. As I said take your time and get it right and your questions will be answered and help where available given.
Quite a few of the Guys on this site are at CTRM doing their training as I type. Some are fully fledged Green Beret wearing Bootnecks. Whilst others are like me. Been there, got the T shirt and still have that Bootneck Attitude even though we left years ago. Some blokes are in their Seventies but still have information concerning the Corp which Wannerbe Bootnecks will still find most valuable.
The Royal Marines is akin to a big family. Regardless of age, location or rank. Once a Marine. Always a Marine. Since leaving the Corp I've met blokes who I never met when I was serving. But within a couple of minutes we have broken the ice and the tales of daring do's and total bullshit have come thick and fast!
It's a Marine Thing I guess.

On topic again ...... Shadowcreaper, don't be intimidated by these nasty big blokes (Artist, Doc.) They are pussycats really.
Post and ask away, mate. Folk are only too happy to help (mostly.)
I don't think there is anything rude or impolite in your existing posts ..... people can sometimes be.... er ..... oversensitive.
It happens to Doc if you feed him toast and coffee with milk in the mornings.
Happy posting matey!
