POC bleep score

Post by alex h »

I got 13.8 on POC. A couple of guys kept going well into the 14s. Shouldn't worry overly about the test though....there are harder things on PRMC/POC!!!!

It goes up to 15.5 and you have to be pretty fit to get that, there was a thread a while back about 'who got the highest in the bleep test ever' type thing if your really that interested.
like brian says it goes up to 23 and there have been many instances in it being fully completed (many athletes obviously but also a school kid who pushed himself so hard to complete it that he actually collapsed and died after completing it. no word of a lie) due to this now, teachers are not allowed to egg students on whilst performing the bleep test. www

Even though theres always talk of level 13-14's bandied around, the highest on my PRMC was 12.6, a lad in my room, most came off at the mid 10's - early 11's.

That's what little sleep, 3 mile squadded run with sprints as a warm up does!
Also don't forget lads the floor in that gym is polished as fark, and you don't get a huge amount of purchase.

According to some of the running geeks on runnersworld forum, to be able to complete the bleep test requires the same amount of fitness as would be needed to run 6 CONSECUTIVE 4 MINUTE MILES.

I found it free to download from:

I'm pretty sure it's the real thing, at level 20 theres only 4 seconds between beeps!

On our RMR selection there was at least 6(maybe more - i only watched half the troop do the test) that got well into level 14. I got 1 bleep off level 15 and didn't get the highest.

No i don't think so GGHT. Correct me if I'm wrong but the PRMC standard is level 11 which isn't that high really - like most people say the Royal Marines aren't looking for supermen to turn up for the PRMC, obviously to get level 11 you have to be pretty fit but determination seems more important than fitness. I would have thought the majority of PRMC candidates would be getting somewhere round level 14 though ?

15m is the national school standard not many schools do 20m because its too hard( al those fat kids get put down:P)

much appricated if i could have a link to get 20m bleep test tape
