I meant like a general view of what your training is like and stuff... Give me a basic idea. I am NOT asking to tell me the detailed or vital secret info. And as for the weaponry, just tell me what you would have your OWN special forces use if you pretty much owned one. Make up a gun or something if you have to, but keep it realistic, no weapons that shoot lasers or crappy slingshots. lol.

(I saw a series of shows on TV that showed Navy SEALS basic training and the basic idea of what kind of stuff you have to go through to pass... it was a generalization... they didn't reveal any secrets by showing this series.)

Make up a gun but keep it realistic? :-? Oh of course, because in reality you can make up your own weapons that have magical powers.

Possibly the worst thread I have ever seen.

why dont you do a bit of research, theres hundreds of pages on the internet about UKSF most of which wil ltell you their 'tools of war' as you put it. this will result in two things - 1. you will get your much desired info. and B. you wont annoy the sh!t out of us in the process.
jog on you sy!! (footy factory - legend) www

I dont think this would be a good idea as we have seen from another post:
viewtopic.php?t=11241

Also I think the site is very useful for the younger generation who are thinking about or in the process of joining the armed services (myself included).

I think what we need is for the mods to get stricter or to employ a sort of yellow and red card system. For example people can get a warning and if they continue to talk shite then they get binned!!

Cheers

Personally I believe this guy is taking the piss, simply because even my active imagination cannot imagine anyone so utterly dense as to continue pushing this thread amidst the uniformly negative responses recieved.

Even a 0.5 year old would have picked up on the sarcasm at some point.

Ah but your forgetting one thing......... he's an AMERICAN they don't do sarcasm

I cant understand why he'd even want to know what weapons etc real SF use anyway I mean how could an M16 compare to a P34 pulse rifle that has a magazine capacity of 50000 rounds?? ( by the way Blade the P34 isn't real I made it up just thought I'd give you a heads up on that one cause I know your a bit slow!)

Your lookin for the wrong thing as fantasy will always beat reality hands down.

If your brain wasn't so wasted away by playing these childish games you'd have realised by now just why no of us gives a fcuk about "winning the war " for our "Alternate Reality Britain".

Dragonkiller or whatever your name is....i think you will be better off posting this on a video game forum, not a Militaryforum. As for information about the UK Special Forces, there are books about and there is information on the internet telling you only as much as is allowed under the Official Secrets Act. You have to remember that Special Forces are sworn to secrecy, and therefore you wont be finding information on tactics etc.

My opinion is to lock this thread before it gets silly :)

No need to get pissed off with this guy. A polite Foxtrot Oscar will do the trick.

Someone please lock this thread
Sorry, I would not either!

You could, of course, stop it yourself - by NOT replying!!
