Thanks Harry. That totally vindicates both you and I because in terms of 'poshness' you can't get posher than HCR.

Iv'e seen what happens in that Officers Mess and beleive me it's no place for a Gentleman. But on the whole there all jolly good eggs :)

They're just doing what ossifers do. When we did it, it was hooliganism, when they do it - it's high spirits. Mind you they have to pay for their sins as well. Look at the vast number of extras handed out to naive cornets, and the way they get charged extra on their mess bills for the damage they do.

Nah, they are just the same as us but a different set of values and discipline is imposed upon them, and like us, they have to accept it.

£5,000 to repair an original painting by Winston Churchill in our ossifers mess after one night's carry on. It was the old, "lets see who is best at taking the champage cork out of the bottle with a sword" trick LOL
