Jc if your that height and only 9 stone you must look very skinny? im 13 stone and i think i look skinny lol 21 stone is very impressive to be bench pressing and keeping your weight that low. Do you just do powerlifting or somthing? How many reps are you doing with the 21 stone barbell? A wee sample programme would be good to look at coz iv always wanted to keep weight and muslce size down while building up loads of strength.

You need muscle to lift over twice your own body weight and being just shy of 6ft and 9st just doesnt cut it for me. A slight breeze would probably blow you over, if that fails, a 6 year old kid would have a good go.
I know people who can bench 35st, and with their weight hitting 22st, even they cant lift over twice their bodyweight.
Benching everyday for three years?
In the words of the world famous Monsieur Hackedoff....
'Is that the time?'

Naa that aint my height, i measured last night im- 5.8 - 70kg (10 stn) - shorter than i thought.
I published my training program a while ago. My 1 rep max is 21 stn but i usually work on 19stn for 6 reps at a time. Usually i recon if you can do one, you should be able to do a few more.
Jeb - i know you like to contradict what i say so do what ever, if it makes you feel like a hardman.
Seeing that you just insulted alot of people on this board by you 6 year old comment - ya just an arrogant c@#t.
"Im 5 12 ish and weigh 9.5...Im a scrawndog"
I WEIGH MORE THAN YOU DO YOU TWAT

Yeah I know that, but just pointing it out coz it is all a bit childish if you ask me
Do you do alot of cardio to keep your weight down? Coz I would find it hard to keep my weight down and gain lots of strength as I eat loads
I would love to improve strength in chect without making it huge or gaining to much weight.

Ok, as far as weight training is concerned. About 3 years ago i decided to start training to get some muscle on me, etc etc. Went to my local gym and they have this PTI down there who trains (trained) olymic athletes. I told him that I wanted to build up my strength whilst improving endurance too so he gave me a very long program and i'v stuck to that for the last 3 years like I said, gradually changing it to include more strength training like benchpress.
I first started on 9 stn. Every 3 weeks i would make sure that I moved the weight up 1 (to 10stn, 11stn etc). Now im stuck on 21stn. It comes with a hell of a lot of determination and alot of free time.
I'll post my old training routine sometime (without the alterations)
As far as press-ups are concerned, jeb is right, i dont weight alot so it much easier for me.
I do a hell of alot of running, uphill etc, every other day for about 17km each time. Thats where i burn the fat so my body composition consists of hardly any fat at all. If you wanna keep the muscle size down, just avoid the protien supliments coz i never needed em.
My legs dont have much muscle on them due to all the running so its more endurance that is needed so thats prolly why the weight doesnt add up.
