If you ever become a rupert I think your name will become quite apt for the men under your command as a 5.56 may come your way very quickly from the rear of the column.

Friendlyfart! what exactly makes you think im going to be cannon fodder when i pass out! Don't forget pal if you ever do it make past the POC and get that commision you'll be relying on those ranks under you, if i go over the top your going to be right next to me, and those dumb ass commando's and nco's are going to help keep you alive! Ive got a good mate from this forum who's a YO and he would never be as condescending as you are you muppet.

Im only a nod and i realize already that intellegince counts for s*it! its common dog that counts.

Remember shit roles down hill and your going to be at the bottom of it for a long long time! and even if you do make the grade just as Arist said your going to be ordered around by SNCO's.

P.S Im the man for the job Doc, but i'll do it properly, i wont piss around with 5.56 i'll just cut straight to the chase and ram a LAW up his tight little arse. 8)

Ah, I see friendlyfireaintfriendly will be depriving a village somewhere of an idiot when he joins up!!!

Use your brain eh? how ironic you use that phrase in a sentence where you actually don't . . . I guess you've just got too much between the ears for the rest of us.

Tell you what friendlyfireaintfriendly, I met some of the stupidest people I've ever met at uni . . . .

As the late great Elvis once stated:-
We're caught in a trap
I can't walk out
Because I love you too much baby
And believe me, it was a git bloody big bear trap. :o

Looks like I ain't missing anything by not going to Uni - rather spend the years with the marines TBH - presuming I get in - just gonna give it 120%

I'm a little worried about being lead by someone like friendly... especially when I will be "cannon fodder", according to him. Hopefully, his type will be weeded out during training

Uni is what you make it. Take life too seriously and you'll hate it.

It's fun, it's laid back and it's all done on a shoe-string. brilliant

I dont take it seriously atall and I still hate it. Some people are meant for uni and some arent. Its prob worth going to find out wheather you will enjoy it or not though.

Just ive been told by everyone military or not if youve got the brains do it as an officer and dont bother with going in as "cannon fodder"
Read military as Area Careers liason officer from the navy along with pretty much every forces guy ive talked to and non-military as several people who i respect and are heavily involved with military. Perhaps reading the whole thing before screaming at me would be nice then youd realise what ive been told about it. Also cannon fodder is definitely not what i mean literally
, if i go over the top your going to be right next to me, and those dumb ass commando's and nco's are going to help keep you alive! Ive got a good mate from this forum who's a YO and he would never be as condescending as you are you muppet.
Again perhaps reading the answer instead of seeing the word "CANNON FODDER" and then assuming i would dare to slate the guys who have the guts to do it, also the reason i want to do the marines as an officer is so that i AM in it with everyone else.

Read it carefully before you start screaming at someone perhaps?

another thing, What percentage of the officer intakes only have A-levels? Im really in limbo about whether to work towards university or not and if it really does affect my chances seeing as its a long time to have to wait to do the process anyone?

Friendly,
If you are considered Officer Material then God help us. You can neither construct a half decent sentence in English nor have you any idea about punctuation.

What is this all about ?

"Read military as Area Careers liason officer from the navy along with pretty much every forces guy ive talked to and non-military as several people who i respect and are heavily involved with military."

and this ?

"also the reason i want to do the marines as an officer is so that i AM in it with everyone else."

Get a degree, you would not pass RMET1 !

That is a perfectly coherent sentence OIC.

I dont see why people want to get angry at me over something that someone has mis-understood if it has been misunderstood im sorry and perhaps you should actually read the post before assumptions based on single words, im trying to get some actual information here personally to help me in the career im still going to go for and i think ill leave the nit-picking for others now :-?
