course, can't forget that. but with these rifles why not just have trusty SLR blowup pack, much less space required! (i'll PM anyone interested with blue-prints  )

ah well, my dad is always telling me his war stories etc, and the trusty beast has come up in a few convo's, especially its usefulness in firing 'from the wrong shoulder' needed for Ireland and other stuff. Although I have never fired one for obvious reasons, being just a cadet with my Cadet L98 Semi, i can imagine its stopping power and the damage it could/would cause to somebody rather than just aiming to maime like the SA80 was designed for. Cheers Andy

karabiner - cliff assaults, river crossings... it also comes with a loopline to aid in said river crossing! there's always a point to everything you carry in your fighting order - staying alive!

Really? You do surprise me.
just aiming to maime like the SA80 was designed for.
Really? You do surprise me.

What a total load of shite I`m reading here.
Don`t any of you
A) Know how to use the Search facility?
B) Know how to use the English language correctly?

Maybe we should have an idiots corner for those who can`t be arsed with either A) or B). This is a Royal Marines General Discussion Forum on a website for those with a serious interest in military matters, not for asking stupid questions for the umpteenth time or giving us the doubtfull benefit of "wot i got told"
We don`t want to hear it.
Any genuine enquiries will always be answered helpfully. To the rest, best you start watching what you`re posting. Buck up or thin out.
This isn`t a topic for discussion.

bloody hell, i wasnt trying to be annoying or something, i was just asking this question because i AM genuinely interested in the RM and i was always wanting to know what a person would have in his webbing. When i came upon this site, i thought this would be really helpful for any queries or questions i may have, i didnt expect to be told it was a stupid question an no-one should reply to it. Thats really helpful isnt it?

Hint
Buck up or thin out.
This isn`t a topic for discussion.
You`re not the only one, and I`m getting threaders with the endless repetition of pointless posts.

Why haven't you asked your dad about such matters??
You can always ask him when he gets home from foreign parts I suppose, that way you'll be sure to get a genuine response from someone in the know

i think were getting away from the point here fellas. Field porn!!
however,on telic 1 as we had to carry ressi`s with us everywhere, the pouch also doubled up as a porn bag,so you could go off to the heads discretely for a w***. i did get caught out once when the siren went off and as i was running back to the tent whilst trying to don respirator, there was porn mags flying everywhere.
