With regards to being put off joining the para's by the blokes in the office, remember that these people see potential recriuts every day, they watch them sit the tests and see the videos, they are the experts when it comes to recriuting, the reason they may try to get you to think about your choice or corps or regiment etc is that the army will be investing a lot of money to get you through what ever training you take up, what they dont want you to do is join the wrong unit/get bored/fed up etc and leave, so as was in my case they asked me to reconsider my choice of the royal corps of transport as my first choice as i scored so high in the tests, i like yourself was sure that i wanted to be rct, the majors last words were that i would transfer out or leave within 2 years, and you know what mate he was right i moved over to rmp after 19 months.
these people are not anti para they just want you to be sure of your choice, good luck anyway

I also want to Join the Paras like you mate. I am Also underweight according to my BMI score.

Whats the Best way to put on weight. should i use supplements like Progain etc to gain weight?

Well ive been using that stuff for a good year...and nothing.
I wouldnt waste your money, just eat right and eat alot.

The way I see it is, if you say "I want to join the Paras", and they say "why don't you join your local infantry unit and then you can always transfer later" or "join the reme", if you're one of the ones like my mate Shaun who went "ok then ill join the coldstream guards then"... you're showing the first thing a para isn't... weak willed and indecisive.

I agree....they could easily be testing your eagerness and how quickly you change your mind, its a good job i stuck at it, and didnt change my mind.
