So what your saying is that your printing the whole 3 miles at 16kmph. because in fact your doing it faster. I have a funy feeling your lying buddy.

I'm at 35 press ups after my runs, 80 sit ups, 4 pull ups and 3 miler in 17.56. I've got a chat this easter holidays about applying for an officer schollarship. My main problem is I'm so amazingly light, 6 foot and under 9 stone, I don't even look that scrawny .

Why would he be lying? Ive got a mate who can run 3miles in under 17 minutes! Well that was nearly a year ago now so its more than likely even lower now.

If you look in your local Evening Telegraph you will see that all the local running club people get times ranging from 15 to 18minutes all the time.

Maybe he is telling the truth but i pesonally doubt it very much. Another factor which i considered is that he only managed to do his PJRFT in 9.10 surely this would be faster if he could run 3 in that time. HE may be telling the truth he may also be lying, but im entitled to think what i like.

Chill out a bit...if he is lying, he's only cheating himself, all on the same side and all that!! How long since he did PJFT?? I only got 9.09, and now I can do 3 miles cross country in 17.43, people improve with training.

The only way is to train hard. Keep increasing the distance slightly so that when you come to the 3 mile test you have been training at eg 6 miles, and then will have the stamina and endurance to go harder at 3.
You should talk to somebody who gives a f**k.

My scores are pretty similar to most of you guys.

Press ups-(2mins) 45
Sit-ups-(2mins) 70
Pull-ups 4

1.5 miles, last time I did this was a few months ago and I ran a 9:04

3 mile not as good, 20:40 at the mo, but I’ve still got the whole joining process to go yet so there’s time to improve on that.

Press ups = 20 in 2mins - I’m useless at them, I hold my breath which doesn’t help and my head feels like its going to p0p!
Sit Ups = 82 in 2mins
Pull Ups = 9

1.5 miles = 10.02 - though I have fluctuated a lot, and have no sort of form when running. Endurance is a problem, mostly due to being an ex smoker.

I am not applying until I can sort my running out and sort those dam press ups. :D
