The Royal Marine Museum is definitely well worth a visit. I did it about a month ago with the good lady ( otherwise known as the wife!) and it was absolutely brilliant.
I also learned that they now do "functions", so if you want a wedding reception in the old Officers Mess at Eastney you can!!
That has got to be impressive.!!
I also believe - and Sticky Blue will either confirm or correct me - that you can also "hire" a RM Band/Group to play at the said function - at a cost of course!!
It's worth thinking about.

Can I hire a small band for the launch of my latest canalboat? It's still out of the oggin, can't get a crane to put it back in the cut!

I can spare a couple of quid and the drinks are free!

Try this address

Janice Simmonds

London WC2N 5BP

She is in charge of Booklet & Factsheets if she can't help she will probably know someone who does. Got the address from the TSO site quite a good read about the service and what it is up to

The nice women at the careers office gave me all six RM promotional posters and RM pens when I popped in the office during summer leave. However I made the mistake of sticking all six of them up in the grots, i.e. the training team thought that they were complete 'chad' and a bit 'keen' on my behalf - I had the p*ss taken out of me all summer.

It's 988KB, which will be about 2-4minutes on 56K.

Just finished it. I put the helicopters back too.

It prints out decently on A4, but sucks up ink I think. If anyone's interested I'll put a single, high quality, version of the restored poster on my webspace.... and the 14.8MB photoshop file.

I have made a great poster for inspiration using a few piccys I found on the web and a quote from our very own beloved forum! If anyone's interested PM me with your email address, its rather good. Has a commando dagger either side of the page with the quote ‘If you want summit bad enough you will achieve it. Otherwise have a nice life in Civvy Street.’ in between them and then the Corps capbadge at the bottom. I like it anyway![/img]
