I loved the artic socks, especially as my "exercise sock!" :wink:

Boots I liked KSB, for going ashore, and the issued danner look alikes where good with gaters.

Why do people ask "what kit is best!" Just return your issue kit when its being issued and turn to the relevant pages in combat and survival, point out desired bit of kit and ask nicely. Im sure the storeman will only be to pleased to accomadate you!

On a serious note, Scarpas are the dogs bollox!

I've had a pair of Danner Fort Lewis boots for over ten years. They last!!! Damned good boots even down to -20C. To hot in the summer thugh. Danner dezzies are very good by all accounts. Pricey though.
