IF you want it lads, its there you dont have to be superhuman to knock out a passable amount of press-ups, sit ups, pull ups and run three-mile in 20minutes...its all down to you and not your mam waking you up in the morning cause you've slept in!
most careers make you get up when you dont want to....look at bankers and milkmen....early starty 6 days-a-week to count money where as a RM you get up slightly earlier do a hell of a lot more, enjoy it more and still have most of the benifits of civvy life..to a certain extent.
I am glad i didnt join the RAF when i was 16 as i would not of been able to have as many experiecnes i have had to date, meet as many mates as i have, whom of all said they will visit when i pass out to a commando unit for a run ashore, and as true mates i know they will!
You have to weight up the pros and cons of going in at any age.
LEaving girlfriends, wifes, kids, jobs, sercuity, a way of life for what?
Something less stable, dangerous, realtively crap pay for a while, ever changing working conditions and enviroments....but you will be a ROYAL MARINES COMMANDO! so if you think, at any age you can do it, you can! look at danny, hes an example to all 16 year olds out there! still growing and maturing yet has passed one of the most demanding 'regular' armed forces selections!
