Support For Bush
Whitey, the posts you have written about the terror alerts coming in when there could be some damage for the government makes sense. I was thinking that myself, our version is kids getting abducted then two days later getting found in their mates house. Honestly there have been more attempted abuctions on the run up to the war and during dr kellys death then the whole of the ninetys.
Also were you saying earlier, the Bushs new more about 9/11 before it happened. I say Bushs because we all know who Bush senior works for, OBL fathers oil business. There are many unaswered questions, like why were documents blanked out of the only enquiry to 9/11.(pearl harbour had 9 investigations in the first year alone). And strange that the anthrax mailings were reported to be a sham as well.So many conspiracys but so many people asking too many unanswered questions.

Surely the first and biggest conspiracy was the involvement of JWya's Brother in the Florida Vote and the exemption of postal votes.... from this point his term of office commenced to spiral out of control!

Farmer Palmer.
Howard,
No I cannot get Viz here my last copy is about five years old but still makes me laugh
Matty, Michael Moore is almost totally discredited in the US.He is a worse liar than both Clintons combined.

Looking back over my previous post, it now looks very 'leftfield maaan'
I would like to apologise for a brief crazy spell.I will try not to get rational and irrational thought mixed up like that again.
Wholley, I read the book by Micheal Moore, and without knowing much about him didnt question his integrity. I dont beleive everything I read, but he does raise some interesting points.
The most interesting for me are the questions he would like to ask the Bush family and there involvement with bin laden family pre 9/11 and other 'crazy goings on'. Election rigging was the start of it, and by the end his investigating led him to some quite shocking statements about the Bushs involvement in 9/11.
Before you assign me to the straight jacket give the book a read and see what you make of it.
I really must remember to think before I type.

Men in White Coats with big syringes
Evening Matty,
My Father-in-Law has read it and said it was just typical liberal left lies.
If he has'nt trashed it already I'll get it from him and give it a gander. If your interested in some of the political shennanigans on this side of the pond and you enjoy a good read try"Dereliction of Duty"by Lt.Col.R.B.Patterson,USAF(Ret.)
Also "Treason"by Ann Coulter.(ISBN 1-4000-5030-8.)
Both are fun to read for an old Republican like me and Ann is not tough to look at either.

bit of the point here, but so is everything else.
did you see the news casts of the blackouts in america. i don't know if it was a genaral feeling in america or the press picked the daftest people to talk to but the most common reply to the question 'what did you think was happening?' was ' i thought it was 9/11 all over again.'
not wishing to offend any of the americans on here but, how dramatic can one nation be? it was pissing me of all those 'middles aged i want to get on TV and say the same thing as everyone else.' people. fair enough they dealt with it quite well and there was no looting or anything but, whilst watching it I had anger.

Power outages
Always go commando,
The only people here that thought it was 9/11 all over again were the News networks.Always hungry for ratings(but whats the point when those directly affected can't watch the news anyway?)I don't think anyone from around here was really that bothered.
Hot up there though.Still that'll teach 'em to live in big cities. :microwave:

What do you expect, the news is constantly insinuating a big terror operation is in the works, people are either paranoid or don't give a funk anymore, and not giving a funk won't get you on TV nowdays.
They called the inside traders on wall street economic terrorists in the media here. Any crime now days is a form of terrorism to some people, like if you run a red light, you can be veiwed as a traffic terrorist. What ever happened to people just being called what they really are? Like Dumb-Asses? I heard in the beggining that lightning caused the black out, and immediately I said to myself will they call this an act of "Atmospheric Terror" will Gods picture be posted on the most wanted list? Yes it is rediculous, but Wholley is right the media exacerbates peoples fears to make money. That whole power grid is just rediculous, all their eggs in one basket, your "Primate City" that powers your 1st world economy plugs into the same over loaded outlet. Yep smart, real smart. This is one project I hope the govt. takes back control of, when it was regulated them yankees had no problems. I think regulation is necessary for yankees, but not for folks out west or down south, when you move north you lose common sense it seems. I lost some of my sense in Chicago I think, I ain't been right sense. Naw, but in all seriousness, if you keep up in the News, this was predicted to happen and the power company experts just said "No it won't happen" and I'll be damned if it didn't. Air lines, water, power all that junk could use some regulating, private companies just seem to get greedy in those industries and break the machine. But some junk you just need nowdays especially in cities like water, power and transportation. Look at the Air Lines we bail them out with tax dollars and they are broke again. I'm not worried about some idiot getting on the plane, I'm worried about maintenence being half assed to save money and a plane having mechanical problems. Them corporate presidents will do anything to save a buck so they can put that saved money in their own pocket.

howdy whitey, few quick things, I am also "Country" if you will, but my state, Florida, is being invaded by Yankees and Island people who have no regard for our coultre or way of life for that matter. So I think we have alot of issues here at home to deal with. Any how I agree with alot of what you are saying but I think this is the wrong place (A UK forum), to hang out America's "dirty laundry". There are plenty of US boards to post your views on. Do what you like but I think we should keep things in house. Just one man's opinion.
P.S., please do stop callin' us Yankees, it's not exactly an effectionate term.

anyway, that flag means alot to me it's the American flag, and America has it's problems but all countries do, there is no utopia. So as the song goes it's not the only place but it's the place I prefer.
