Erm...Ash, i'm 6'2" and only weigh 72kg-a right lanky b*stard-and I passed the interview/medical with not even a single mention of being underweight. 72kg for my height is fairly sound so I'm not sure why you were told you were underweight at 5'8"/70kg. Weird.
Plus, the press-up thing (

), Royal Marines Circuit training book features a guy on the cover doing civvie press-ups and a guy inside the book doing press-ups with elbows in. PRMC video shows guys doing civvie style. Too confusing!........

I just like bringing it up, arouses all the old passions...'civvie-style' supporters in one corner, jeering and throwing bottles, 'marine-style' guys all huddled together muttering abuse and grumblings. It's like being at a footie match! Oh and if any of the South African guys who were down at High Street Kengsington Headquarters on Monday and today (PRMCs on 11th Feb), hi!!

You have to remember bulking out is completely different from putting on weight! They might be saying your some what skinny and need to increase your amount of skeletal muscle
Half times up at the footie and the scores are even! Cant wait for this piss up when this match finaly ends for good!

When your bulking, you are putting on weight.

Does it matter how skinny I look tho? If I build up my arm, back and shoulder muscles enough to take the stress and exercise then isn't that a done thing. When I go in for 'the chat' in 6 months I'm gonna have a copy of my stats and the fitness programme I've followed for the 6 months so if he asks what fitness/training I've been doin I'll show him. I gotta admit at he moment I do need to build my arms up a bit but I aint underweight (If ya check wi desired weights then I'm near the top of my category).

Bulking up has one advantage in that you protect yourself more efficiently from bangs and bashes, especially apt for the PRMC and training I would imagine.
Too much bulk and you are carrying extra weight

which isn't necessary and you will have to feed it, again more weight never mind the cash...
