I think the guy at the start of the video is simply trying to motivate the men.

Yea I know, we used to get those kind of comparisons all the time from our instructors at the depot as well. But they have to be within reason and realistic. But I never heard any thing like that once on Sqn.

One that stuck in my mind, said by a Cpl during the first week at Catterick was "You are the Royal Marines of the RAF" At the time of course that felt great, but in hindsight....eeeeuggh...cringe.

i remember the story in the paper about a year ago when a load of paras kick the shit out of loads of RAF Reg as appently they'd been mouthing off saying there better than the corps.

i had to read it twice but appently its true! not something youd be expect to hear mind! Cheers Perce
